Every year I do this exercise and I absolutely love it. I’m terrible at following through on “mundane tasks” or even remembering to take vitamins daily. But the month of November, every year, every day, this is something I commit to because I have truly seen its effect on my life over the years. We all lose track of humility and humbleness throughout the day and this puts life back into perspective.
For me, I post on my Facebook daily. Typically adding a little story or a picture to it. Some days are more thought out and some days are lighter in content. However, the practice is there. You can share this on social media or tell it to a friend. Even keeping it to yourself is okay, if you’re carving out time daily to reflect, it will make a difference.
Typically, I find the moment in the day where I stop and go ‘ah’ at my life and use that as my reasoning to be grateful. It’s living in the moment but I understand if this is a new practice, it might not be that easy. I’ve come up with a list to reflect on. Take what you want, leave the rest. By the end of the month you’ll surely be creating your own.
Enjoy the journey!
