The Mud Mask You Whish-ed For.

This gem arrived in my Fab Fit Fun box a few months back. I waited to start using it for the right time. Winter being so hard on your skin, with your face being exposed to hard elements – this is the right time! My skin has been so dry from the cold and then working overtime to naturally hydrate, causing oily skin. Therefore, I really needed this Renewing Mud Mask to balance out my skin and it worked well.

What is so great about this mask? Let me count the ways.

  1. The main active ingredient is bakuchiol. Newer to the scene, this plant extract acts like retinol without the negative effects. Like its counterpart, bakuchiol is strong in the anti-aging game without UV sensitivity and redness. It excels in busting fine lines and wrinkles, improving pigmentation, firmness, elasticity and improves surface texture and moisture. Basically, it’s a safer form of anti-aging that’s edible too.
  2. Bar none benefits. Most masks concentrate on one target area. However, Whish found a way to pack in improving brightening, evening tone, anti-aging, elasticity, firmness, exfoliation and pore minimization. That is a LOT of treatments in one little tube.
  3. It’s quick and consistent. This mask fixes two of my biggest downfalls of a traditional mask: they take time to work (20+ minutes) and you can only use them every couple of weeks. Not this mud mask, you start by letting it rest for 15 seconds and building it up to two minutes. As a result, you can build this in to your regular skin care routine twice a week. Bring on the frequent benefits!
  4. The fine print holds up. I’m always a big supporter of certified Leaping Bunny products, Made in the USA products, organic, paraben and sulfate free products. This renewing mud mask was all the above and more!

I’m also really digging the fact that I can add this into my shower routine. It’s thin, smells clean, tingles just enough to make you feel like it’s working, and leaves my skin feeling amazing. I highly recommend this multipurpose mud mask by Whish. Find it on their website for $48 in a full 2 ounce size, which should last you about six months because it’s in a pump and a little goes a long way.
