Three Tips for an Easy Cheese Board

Holidays are in full swing, you’re responsible for an appetizer at your family gathering and you totally forgot! Don’t worry, I got you.

Grab your best cutting board, head to the store and use these tips to guide you through an easy, affordable spread that will please a crowd.

1 – Cheese. My favorite thing to do is stop at the deli section and find the $5 and under basket. Pick three – a spicy one like pepper jack, a comfortable one like brie or cheddar, and unique one such as a cranberry rosemary goat cheese.

2 – Crackers. Typically I stick to two types – a baguette style and a grain based one. On this platter I included the Trader Joe’s Pistachio Pomegranate Crips.

3 – Accents. This is where you can get creative or shop seasonal items in the fruit, meats, and sweet variety. Quick picks are red and green grapes, berries, prosciutto, summer sausage, or chocolate chunks.

Last but not least – grab a wine! A Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio pair well with this set. Here I have 19 Crimes Cabernet Sauvignon, which pairs well too.

If you’re feeling extra ambitious grab a bag of pistachios to add a little salt to the mix.

Combined you have a colorful spread that’s just minutes away. Enjoy!
