This weather change has done a serious number on my skin. For the first time in a long time, my skin was peeling it was so dry. Shedding my summer skin I suppose… My objective this facial Friday was to get a moisturizing treatment on it stat! In my grasp was this hydrating + face mask by Karuna.

A Review of Karuna’s Hydrating + Face Mask 

It is a sheet mask that forces you to relax for 15-20 minutes while treating your skin. Seriously, who has 15 minutes to sit with this on? Well, I squeezed mine in to nap time while I did homework. So if I can do it, so can you. Treat yourself!

Pros:

• The impact. Skin products can be tricky because while they may be improving your skin instantly, they may also take days, weeks, months, to show signs. However, this skin mask showed immediate results. My flaky skin was gone by the time I took it off and my skin felt amazing even hours later and after washing.
• The ingredients. It’s made with German chamomile which relieves inflammation,  aloe extract that soothes the skin, and niacinamide which is better recognized as B3 and nicotonic acid which have incredible reparation ability for the skin. It also includes compound hylauronic acid, peptides, and Chinese licorice.
• Hygenic. In the sealed pouch packaging, the 100% biodegradable wood fiber face mask is germ free and allows your pores to open and absorb without bacteria. Major bonus!

Cons:

• The size. It’s true, size does matter. While I truly can not make a complain about the effects of this product, the size and shape of the mask was an issue. What worked was that unlike other masks I’ve used, it had slits in the design to allow the mask to form more closely (and effectively) to your face. It was however, much larger than I needed it to be which caused it to get in my hair and didn’t fit closely around my nose, eyes, or mouth which are my target areas.

By the way, is there anything creepier than a person wearing one of these face masks?

On a progressive scale of 1-5, how likely am I to recommend this product to a friend? 5.

I so highly recommend this product to you, my friends. There was a MAJOR difference in my skin after only one use. To be honest, my mind is a little blown and I’m really excited that there are three more masks in my package!
