The Work Party You Want To Go To.

Every year, we host a company party for the employees of my husband’s business. They’re like a work family, so we open our home for a more intimate occasion. In the past year, the company has grown tremendously, therefore at this year’s party — we went big!

First and foremost, is the food. We hired Comfort Food 154 straight out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Comfort Food 154 offers a unique take on home-style cooking. Starting off service with Bruschetta and Ruben Rounds which are deconstructed Rubens with delicious dipping sauce.

They served a variety of delicious dishes including “Scott’s Mac and Cheese” and Five Star Smoked Meatloaf. Finishing off dinner with Carmel Apple Cheesecake and PB & J French Toast Bites.

Very thankful that Scott and Crystal made the trip up for our event!

For decorations, I took a play on the Comfort Food 154 style and did a modern take on a country style theme. Using black table clothes with black and white gingham runners from the Tablecloths Factory gave a more sophisticated feel. On top of the tables sat 16 oz. Ball Mason Jars filled with white flowers and colored ribbon matching the caterer’s logo.

Last but most certainly not least, we had entertainment for the kids in the form of a magic show! If you’re local, I can not say enough how impressed I was with Dapper Dan and his ability told our kids attention for an hour.

It was a great night to be shared with great people. Thanks to everyone who supported it, attended it, and enjoyed it.
